Commercial breathing-air systems
Fill SCUBA cylinders with a system built around your operation.
Configure a high-pressure breathing-air compressor for a dive shop, club, school, resort or commercial fill station—with capacity, pressure, storage and controls matched to your real filling demand.
More than a compressor
Plan the complete tank-filling workflow
The right system is determined by more than a horsepower number. Daily cylinder volume, peak demand, starting and final pressure, acceptable fill time, available power, ventilation, storage and operator workflow all affect the recommendation.
LW Americas can configure the compressor with purification, filling hoses or panels, breathing-air monitoring, storage banks and controls selected for the application. Direct filling may suit one operation, while another may benefit from storage to handle busy periods.

Built around demand
Commercial SCUBA filling applications
Dive shops and fill stations
Size the compressor and optional storage around typical daily fills, weekend peaks and the customer turnaround your team needs.
Dive schools and clubs
Match capacity, controls and filling connections to training schedules, fleet size and the staff responsible for filling.
Resorts and commercial programs
Plan for recurring demand, remote logistics, equipment-room conditions and the operational redundancy the site requires.
Full Silent Series range
Compare the complete published compressor range
The Silent Series includes seven complete compressor models spanning 230 to 700 L/min, plus sound-insulated retrofit housings for larger LW 720 and LW 1300 systems. The LW 320 ES and LW 570 ES II are highlighted because the LW Americas team identified them as common commercial starting points—not because they are the only available choices.
LW 320 ES
A common choice for small to midsize dive shops. This sound-insulated, three-stage compressor delivers 320 L/min (11.3 cfm) and is suitable for continuous operation.
LW 570 ES II
A higher-capacity Silent Series option for busy commercial filling. Its four-stage compressor delivers 570 L/min (20.1 cfm), with optional integrated filling-panel configurations.
| Model | Capacity | Drive power (50/60 Hz) | Maximum pressure | Published sound at 1 m |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LW 230 ES | 230 L/min / 8.1 cfm | 5.5 / 6.6 kW | 350 bar | 61 dB(A) |
| LW 280 ES | 280 L/min / 9.9 cfm | 7.5 / 9.0 kW | 350 bar | 62 dB(A) |
| LW 300 ES III | 300 L/min / 10.6 cfm | 7.5 / 9.0 kW | 350 bar | 70 dB(A) ±2 |
| LW 320 ES | 320 L/min / 11.3 cfm | 7.5 / 9.0 kW | 350 bar | 62 dB(A) ±2 |
| LW 450 ES III | 450 L/min / 15.9 cfm | 11.0 / 13.2 kW | 350 bar | 72 dB(A) ±2 |
| LW 570 ES II | 570 L/min / 20.1 cfm | 15.0 / 18.0 kW | 350 / 420 bar | 70 dB(A) ±2 |
| LW 700 ES II | 700 L/min / 24.7 cfm | 18.5 / 22.2 kW | 350 / 420 bar | 75 dB(A) ±2 |
Published LW Americas product-page reference data. The maximum compressor pressure is not the same as the selected cylinder-filling pressure. Filling systems are commonly configured for 200 or 300 bar. Confirm current U.S. electrical, pressure, connection and equipment details in the written quotation.
Large-system sound-insulated housings
The Silent Compressor category also includes retrofit enclosures rather than complete compressor packages. These are intended for larger LW compressor systems.
LW 720 ES housing
Retrofit sound-insulated housing for LW 720 models. Published noise level: 73 dB(A) at 1 m. Dimensions: 2200 × 1630 × 1550 mm.
LW 1300 ES housing
Retrofit sound-insulated housing for LW 1300 models. Published noise level: 75 dB(A) at 1 m. Dimensions: 2260 × 1720 × 1450 mm.

Selection process
What LW Americas needs to recommend a system
Define the cylinders
Share cylinder sizes, valve connections, starting pressure and required final pressure.
Estimate demand
Provide typical daily fills, peak-hour volume and the turnaround time your operation expects.
Review the site
Confirm power supply, equipment-room dimensions, ventilation, intake-air location and operating environment.
Configure the workflow
Select direct fill or storage-assisted filling, hose or panel arrangement, controls and monitoring.
Frequently asked questions
SCUBA tank-fill compressor questions
Which compressor is right for my dive shop?
The LW 320 ES is a common starting point for small to midsize dive shops, while the LW 570 ES II serves higher-demand filling operations. The recommendation should be based on cylinder volume, peak demand, fill time, pressure, storage and available power—not shop size alone.
Can Silent Series compressors fill 200 and 300 bar cylinders?
Published Silent Series compressor packages offer 200 or 300 bar filling configurations, with parallel filling pressures available on applicable models. The final pressure, valve standard, hose and filling connection must be confirmed for the cylinders used by the operation.
What is the difference between maximum pressure and cylinder-filling pressure?
Maximum pressure describes the compressor’s technical capability. The working filling configuration is selected for the intended cylinders and system components. For these common SCUBA applications, LW Americas typically configures 200 or 300 bar filling.
Do I need a high-pressure storage bank?
Not every system requires storage. Storage can improve response during peak demand and reduce the need to wait for direct compressor filling, but it must be sized around the actual cylinder and filling profile.
Can the electrical configuration match my facility?
LW Americas can review configurations across common voltage, frequency and phase requirements. Exact motor, controls and starting requirements depend on the selected compressor and must be confirmed for the installation.
Can Nitrox production be added?
Yes. A compatible NitroxMaker membrane system can be planned with a high-pressure compressor for commercial Nitrox production. The membrane system and compressor must be sized together for the required mixture and production rate.
